The following directories and subfolders contain data relating to geological samples and their corresponding mounts as collected over the career of Prof Neal McNaughton (ORCID: 0000-0002-4384-0128).

The mounts and samples are stored with the Geological Survey of Western Australia. Please refer to the GSWA Interactive Geological Map (GeoVIEW.WA) published online by GSWA for information. GSWA may be contacted at geochronology@dmirs.wa.gov.au.

Curtin University Preservation of Legacy Collections Project

This data has been provided as part of the Curtin University Preservation of Legacy Collections Project. This collection of samples, materials and associated data was donated to the Geological Survey of Western Australia by Professor Neal McNaughton, who served in the role of SHRIMP geochronologist for the UWA (University of Western Australia) Centre of Global Metallogeny (1994-2005), the WA (Western Australian) Centre for Exploration Targeting (2005-2007), and the John de Laeter Centre at Curtin University (2007-2019). The project has been jointly funded by AuScope, the Geological Survey of Western Australia and Curtin University.

Project sponsor was Prof Brent McInnes (John de Laeter Centre). Supporting data has been found and provided by Dr Eleanore Blereau (ORCID:0000-0001-8850-397X) (JdLC) with project support from Amanda Bellenger (Curtin Library), technical support from David Lewis (Curtin Library) and metadata support from John Brown (Curtin Library) and Colin Meikle (Curtin Library).
